5th Sep 1977 to 27th April 2021

I taught her to ride a bike,
she taught me to love to ride.

In 2014 my daughter Wendy rang me up, she was a bit depressed beacuse her partner had CFS and everything she planned fell through. She asked me if I wanted to go for a bike ride with her, OK, I said , thinking she meant that I travel up to Brisbane and we do a couple of river loops. How wrong can you be, " I was thinking Vietnam ", she said. I was a littke taken back and stammered out some inanity as I considered the possibilities. Eventually we settled on the Otago Rail in New Zealand. I was hooked and for the next 8 years we cycle toured consistently across Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
