| Next to the railway station there is a small square with the information office, the Kyle Community Facilities, A Hardware Store and a Bothy. Evertything a traveller needs. The community facilities, have toilets, showers & washing and drying machines. Wendy had taken advantage of them when she arrived in town a few hours earlier.
First up was food and a catchup on our trips so far. Amusement for the numebr of tickets required to travel with a bike mixed with admiration for the ability to travel with a bike.

After tea we headed for the hardware store, which was a bit like the Tardis with stuff tucked away everywhere, we managed to get all we wanted and then headed off to walk my bike to the AirBnB. The streets of Khyle are quite narrow and as we wended our way we came across a polic escort stopping traffic as they guidied a massive low loader carrying a wind turbine blade for one of the mamy wind farms springing up aroumd the country. |
We found the AirBnB on the edge of town high up on the hill overlooking the bay and Skye. There were good views to the west from the bathroom window. The hostess was a Russian emigre and we amused ourselves picturing her as a major spy plotting the down fall of the West. |
