A picnis table on the side of the track was sufficient enducment to stop here for the night. Wendy took her gear off the bike and rode back into town for supplies.

I stayed behind and hid in my tent as the midges were ferocious. On her return Wendy set up her tent and we went to bed very early.

Breakfast the next day on the cluttered table as we shelterd behind our midge masks. On the table in the bottom right hand corner you will notice a flat green plate and next to it a bowl of the same plastic material. Note the two black dots near the top of the bowl, they are press-studs, we had three plates each of varying sizes each of which could be folded up and turned into a bowl if required. Much easier to clean and carry flat plates than bowls. The Trangia cooking pot came with two pots, a saucepan and a kettle all of which fitted inside each other for convenient packing and transporting. It was fueled by methylated spirits which was carried in the red flask on the opposite corner of the table which fitted in the bottle cage on my bike.
