Camping de l'Ill, Mulhouse
Some cute little cabins in the camping area.
Individual camping sites were separated by hedges.

We had plenty of room to pitch our two wee tents.
The office had a large undercover bar area and eatery attached and we watched another World Cup match there that night.
The next morning we waved goodbye to a couple touring on recumbent bicycles

Wendy needed something from a bike shop so I showed off my knowledge of most of the streets of Mulhouse by guiding her into the middl of town . It was a fairly torturous route but largely off road . Ducking and weaving between the canals and railway lines.
Wendy chatted away in french to the shop owner and afterwards we had morning tea and then Wendy went back for more sleep while I went out to the motor museum. |
I had my bearings now and had no trouble locating the museum.
Passing over the creek to get to the museum was like crossing a moat. The entrance to the museum is impressive with full size cars suspended on wires beside the drawbridge. The next day we saddled up and heade off on quiet country lanes heading south west. |
