Michel was on the road and not expeced home until the weekend and then I would need to stay a few days to chat with him and for us to do stuff together. I had to get to Paris and then down to St.Malo to return the car and then back to Pars to fly home on the 8th. Ther was not time, so reluctantly I said goodbye to Lyndell and headed for Paris 750 kms north.
Thre were some significant traffic jams on the expressway heading north but the traffic going south was horrendous. I kept an eye out for Michel's truck but did not see him, quelle surprise !
I was making good time, I survived the french toll road paying system without a problem, mastered filling the gas tank and buying sustenance and was flabergasted as I approached Auxerre, and briefly considerd dropping in on Christian, to see a familiar Chateau off to the right of the highway. Surely that is Chateau Neuf, the first chateau we had seen, two months earlier.
I managed to drive right through to Paris and was gratified to find that it was only about 5 kms off the motorway to the camping area I was heading for Camping Marvilla Parks - Paris-Est.
