Jeremy took the two bikes, the two Hong Kong bags and our carry on bags along with Wendy to the airport , whilst I went by train. They had a magic trip, I rang them from south Brisbane station and they were already there.  Which was lucky as one of Hong Kong bags had split so they had time to get a new one and transfer the contents. We still had an hour to kill after checkin so took in some rugby at a sports bar at the airport along with two G & T’s. We boarded on time and we settled in for some serious movie watching, 12 hours to Dubai and then 8 more to Zurich. I watched 5 in between sleeping and eating.

Some clot booked in their luggage but then missed the plane, so their bags had to be offloaded, consequently it was half an hour into my movie when I was aware of something and realised we were just taking off. No problem, they made it up and we arrived in Zurich on time. All bags and bikes present and correct.
The hole in the wall coughed up 200 Swiss Francs and the cabbie took 50 of them to get us to our apartment. I used two of my sentences with the cabbie, one I even modified, as the sun was not shining at all, it was raining.

We had to wait half an hour to pick up the key so we stacked the bikes against the wall of a bar/coffee shop and took our bags inside and ordered a mint tea and a hot chocolate to go with the tapas of cheese, chorizo and some tomatoe thing that Wendy wanted. The key was supposed to be in the Sushi joint around the corner however it was closed for a public holiday. As Wendy stood puzzling our next move a bloke came up and asked if she was Wendy, the owner ,also trying to work out what to do. Turns out the key was with the barman in the pub we were in.
We had internet so Wendy settled in to some serious messaging whilst I headed off to locate a source for food. We were in an inner city university area, there was food and drink at every turn. We were one block from the river so I took the opportunity to crossover one of the many bridges and wander thru the back streets to the next bridge and then back to the unit.

I told Wendy of my findings but was getting little reaction so I decided to also rest my eyes for a few minutes. I awoke at 2am, Wendy must have beaten me as she was in bed asleep and the lights were out.  Guessing we had missed tea it didn’t take me long to be back in the world of nod.
