Sigmaringen

Sigmaringen is dominated by the castle.

Sigmaringen Castle

Schloss Sigmaringen has been the ancestral home of the Hohenzollen-Sigmaringen since 1535. A tour of the castle contains a room with portraits of the 26 previous owners. No photographs are allowed unfortunately as there are some very interesting items on display.

The tour only takes in the right hand end of the building, from the tower by the semi-circlular opening.

Inside they had an extensive collection of weaponry dating back hundreds of years. As well as many examples of  why the peasants revolted all over Europe.
