Last ride with Nick, Kim & John.
From Ehingen to Ulm via Blauburen. Lovely ride up the Schmiech river to Blauburen then down the Blau river to Ulm from where Nick, Kim and John train and plane it back to Berlin.

Riding through a small village we zigged when we should have zagged, consequently we rode 5km up this never ending hill till we realised we were supposed to be beside the Schmieck still and our exertions had been for nought. It was exhilarating hurtling back down this magnificent bitumen road to nowhere.
Considering the rest of the ride looked like this as we followed the river cutting its way thru the hillsides I am not sure why we decided to go up and over a hill.
Anyway we eventually made it to Blaubern and what a pretty little village it is
As picturesque a coffee shop as you would ever hope to find.

Above the weir was the source of the clear water, the Spring has to be seen to be believed.
