| A series of confusing emails as Megan had seen a news report of floods which actually happened two weeks later. | ||||

The Danube has been closed to all shipping as the river has swollen to a near 100-year high. Experts fear the Danube will rise by as much as 30 feet, threatening several villages. One of the worst-hit European cities is Prague, where more than 50,000 people, including foreign visitors, were being evacuated today as the most devastating floods for more than a century threaten to engulf the Czech capital. I'm sure you will have seen this as well, lousy timing, nicht wahr? Lots of love, Moi PS the sheep movie and lunch with Linda and Andrew were both very good. We are currently in Regensburg, tents up under threatening skies. I am wearing woollen t shirt, woollen jumper, down parka and NZ raincoat along with beanie and hoodie up. May have to put heavy cycling gloves on. We have met up with a group of French people and a French couple with small child all heading same direction at roughly same speed. The small child has adopted me and keeps coming and grabbing my finger and dragging me off to do Things. Best go now and check local weather reports On Mon, May 16, 2016 at 10:37 AM, NEIL BADGER <[email protected]> wrote: Hi Meeg, Woke up and it's only 2.30, listened to hear if you are awake but strain as I might I can’t hear anything. Maybe you are out in the lounge reading the herald. So I might join you and read the herald. Not sure what day it is, could be Monday, in which case you should be home from the gym soon. I'll just stay in bed till then, slack I know. Sightseeing day trip day, 5km from town, so too far for my normal stroll to town, will have to bike it. Seems a bit warmer now than last night. May only have to wear three layers. Malcolm seems to be doing well on stuffing things up, about time for the liberals to conjure up another Tampa or some other criminal deceit Till you get home Hugs Ngb esq On Monday, 16 May 2016, Megan BADGER <[email protected]> wrote: Hi Crunchy, That's fair enough that you woke up at 2.30 - so did I, which is why I saw your reply to my email about the flooding. I wouldn't have checked it out if I hadn't seen the headline go across the 7 news screen. It seems bizarre that the Daily Mail is ,reporting old news as happening yesterday and today. Also bizarre was my drive home - not allowed to turn into Herschell despite a gap and no roadwork, then Swift St had roadwork, went around near Andrew and Linda's street, then found the bottom of our street blocked. Simple solution - just move a traffic cone up on to the verge (didn't bother replacing it - stuff them for complicating things!) There's some positive reporting on Bill Shorten but I think harbourside mansion Malcolm still has lots of people dazzled by his glittering smile. Hope the warm weather returns quickly. It is exceedingly hard to lie on your side and type, it keeps turning the page on its side, but it's warmer that way. I have become a papa again, been adopted by little French boy about to put picture on fb. |
