A beautiful clear sunny morning, with only 20 odd Kms to ride today I spent some time walking around our island home.

After an hour or so photographing it was time to hit the road. We crossed back over to the south side of the Loire and headed inland to cross the Thouet river and then stayed up on the ridge in some wooded countryside until we passsed its junction with Loire.

We then returned to the Loire and followed it all the way to Gennes. It is an interesting area, quite old with many stately homes built along the road facing the river.
